Job summary

Culina PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an Accounts Executive to support day-to-day accounting and inventory at its outlets. You will record stock transactions, reconcile balances, and prepare operational reports in collaboration with the Butchery Operations team.

The role requires at least two years in finance or accounting, a Diploma or Certificate in Accountancy, and strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, data sorting). ERP experience is a plus in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of finance or accounting experience, preferably within F&B, retail, or inventory-related industries.
• Certificate/Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, MATCH) and MS Office.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory accounting is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Record and post goods received and supplier invoices accurately into the system, ensuring correct stock codes and accounts.
• Process stock returns and supplier debit/credit notes accurately and timely.
• Review and process inventory adjustments, including yield losses and write-offs.
• Reconcile month-end stock balances against stock-take figures and determine COGS.
• Allocate and maintain accurate selling prices, costs, and quantities for products sold.
• Create and process production/conversion job orders for material to finished goods.
• Prepare and maintain Excel-based operational and financial reports for outlets.
• Review reports, identify variances, and follow up on discrepancies.
• Liaise with Butchery Operations to investigate and resolve inventory and accounting matters.
• Prepare and issue monthly invoices to customers; participate in stock-taking and other duties.

Job Summary

The Accounts Executive is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting and inventory functions of the assigned outlets, including the accurate recording of stock transactions, reconciliation of inventory balances, preparation of operational reports, and investigation of variances. The role works closely with the Butchery Operations team to ensure accurate inventory records and timely resolution of discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and post goods received and supplier invoices accurately into the system, ensuring transactions are captured under the correct stock codes and accounts.
• Process stock returns and suppliers’ debit and credit notes accurately and on a timely basis.
• Review and process inventory adjustments, including yield losses, write-offs, and other stock-related adjustments.
• Reconcile month-end stock balances against stock-take figures provided by the outlets and determine the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
• Allocate and maintain accurate selling prices, costs, and quantities for products sold.
• Create and process production/conversion job orders for the conversion of raw materials or existing stock into finished goods.
• Prepare and maintain Excel-based operational and financial reports for assigned outlets.
• Review reports, identify and highlight inventory, costing, and operational variances, and follow up on discrepancies where required.
• Liaise and work closely with the Butchery Operations team to investigate discrepancies and resolve inventory and accounting-related matters.
• Prepare and issue monthly invoices to customers, ensuring accuracy and timely billing.
• Participate in company activities and operational exercises, including periodic stock-taking.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant finance or accounting experience, preferably within the F&B, retail, or inventory-related industry. Fresh graduates with relevant Accounting or Business qualifications are also welcome to apply.
• Certificate/Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUP, MATCH, and data sorting, as well as other Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, inventory accounting, and/or F&B wholesale operations would be an advantage.
• Meticulous and detail-oriented, with a good understanding of numbers and the ability to identify discrepancies.
• Proactive and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with Operations and other stakeholders.
• A strong team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
