PETROEAST SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced accountant to manage full sets of accounts in Singapore. You will handle payables, receivables, GL, and monthly closing, ensuring accurate documentation.
The role requires at least 3 years in accounting, a diploma/degree in accounting or finance, and strong English. Chinese language ability is a plus for liaising with suppliers and overseas stakeholders.
Main Responsibility:
Maintain and manage the full set of accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger.
Prepare monthly management accounts, bank reconciliations and other financial reports.
Record and maintain accurate accounting transactions and ensure proper documentation of supporting documents.
Assist with KYC matters and provide the necessary documents and information to counterparties.
Liaise with external auditors, company secretary and tax agents on company matters and related issues.
Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and provide supporting documents and information required by external auditors.
Prepare and submit GST returns and assist with other tax-related matters.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting and financial records.
Assist with internal and external reporting requirements and provide information requested by management.
Handle all the outgoing payments and liaise with banks to follow up on TT payments, receipts and other banking matters.
Handle company internal fund transfer between banks and place FD as per instructed.
Assist with bank account opening, including preparing and coordinating the required documentation and liaising with banks.
Other ad hoc assignments as required.
Requirements:
Min. 3 years relevant working experiences in accounting
Diploma/Degree in accounting and /or finance
Fluent in Microsoft office application
Good command of English both written and spoken.
Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage to liaise with Chinese-speaking counterparties, suppliers and overseas stakeholders where Chinese is the primary working language, and to review trade-related documents written in Chinese.
