Job summary

The Supreme HR Advisory PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced M&E professional in Singapore to coordinate with consultants and subcontractors on shop drawings, method statements, and approvals, ensuring alignment with project timelines.

You will attend technical meetings, verify site works against drawings, and lead weekly M&E coordination to avoid delays while maintaining thorough documentation for inspection and handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant M&E engineering experience on building projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with consultants/subcontractors on shop drawings, samples, method statements submission and approvals; update all parties on changes.
• Attend project/technical meetings and resolve site issues with owner/consultants to keep progress on track.
• Verify site works comply with drawings/specifications/authority requirements; ensure subcontractors rectify non-conformances.
• Conduct weekly M&E meetings with subcontractors to maintain work sequence and avoid clashes on site.
• Resolve site issues with consultants/subcontractors/suppliers promptly to prevent construction delays.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for records and client/operational needs.
• Coordinate with safety department and implement permit-to-work within safety framework.
• Coordinate with consultants/contractors for equipment testing and site readiness for authorities’ inspection.
• Prepare M&E progress reports and other client/consultant reports as required.
• Compile and verify completeness of operation/maintenance manuals from suppliers/subcontractors on project completion.
• Check compliance with quality standards (ISO 9000, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, Green Mark, Buildability Score).
• Conduct risk assessments and value engineering for cost efficiency.
• Propose M&E work schedules and lead times using MS Project (or equivalent) for tender projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of relevant M&E engineering experience in building projects (residential, commercial, industrial, or data centre preferred).

Job scope

• To coordinate with consultants / subcontractors on the shop drawings / samples / method statements submission and approval and keep all involved parties updated of the latest changes.
• To attend project / technical meeting and resolve site and technical issues with owner/ consultants for the site progress to proceed smoothly.
• To verify the work done on site is in accordance with the approved drawings / specifications/ authorities’ requirement and ensure that the subcontractors carry out rectification for non-compliance.
• Conduct minimally weekly M&E meetings with the M&E subcontractors to ensure that their work is in proper sequence and ensure that the site supervisors are aware of the work sequence to avoid clashes of site activities.
• To resolve site issues with consultants / subcontractors / supplier timely to prevent delay to the construction progress.
• To ensure that the proper documentation is always kept up to date for proper records and operational needs of the project.
• To cooperate with the safety department and carry out the assigned duties within the safety framework including permit to work.
• To coordinate with consultants and contractors for equipment and combined services testing so that site is ready for authorities’ inspection.
• Prepare M&E progress report or any other reports required by the client or consultants.
• Compile and check completeness and accuracy of all operational and maintenance manuals from suppliers / sub-contractors on completion of project for submission.
• Check and ensure compliance with the requirements of all required quality standards including but not limited to ISO 9000, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, Green Mark and Buildability Score.
• Conduct risk assessments and management based on tender drawings and documents and site requirements.
• Develop Value Engineering Cost Down, including cost-effective solutions for M&E.
• Proposed M&E work schedules and lead times to create suitable project schedules using Microsoft Project (or equivalent) for tender project
