Job summary

THE SUPREME HR ADVISORY PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior M&E Engineer to coordinate shop drawings, samples and method statements with consultants and subcontractors, ensuring progress and compliance on site.

You will lead weekly M&E meetings, resolve technical site issues, and ensure documentation and safety requirements are met for timely project completion. Experience on diverse building projects is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant M&E engineering experience on building projects (residential, commercial, industrial, or data centre preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with consultants/subcontractors on shop drawings, samples, method statements, submissions and approvals; keep all parties updated on changes.
• Attend project/technical meetings and resolve site issues with owners/consultants to maintain progress.
• Verify on-site work complies with drawings, specs, and authorities; rectify non-conformities by subcontractors.
• Conduct weekly M&E coordination meetings with subcontractors to ensure proper sequence and avoid clashes.
• Resolve site issues with consultants/subcontractors/suppliers to prevent delays in construction progress.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for records and operational needs of the project.
• Coordinate with safety department and perform duties within the safety framework including permits to work.
• Coordinate with consultants/contractors for equipment/testing before authorities' inspections.
• Prepare M&E progress reports and other client/consultant reports as required.
• Compile complete maintenance manuals from suppliers/subcontractors on project completion.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO 9000, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, Green Mark, Buildability Score).
• Conduct risk assessments based on tender drawings and site requirements.
• Develop Value Engineering Cost Down initiatives for M&E.
• Propose M&E work schedules and lead times to create project schedules using MS Project.

Requirements

Job scope

• To coordinate with consultants / subcontractors on the shop drawings / samples / method statements submission and approval and keep all involved parties updated of the latest changes.
• To attend project / technical meeting and resolve site and technical issues with owner/ consultants for the site progress to proceed smoothly.
• To verify the work done on site is in accordance with the approved drawings / specifications/ authorities’ requirement and ensure that the subcontractors carry out rectification for non-compliance.
• Conduct minimally weekly M&E meetings with the M&E subcontractors to ensure that their work is in proper sequence and ensure that the site supervisors are aware of the work sequence to avoid clashes of site activities.
• To resolve site issues with consultants / subcontractors/ supplier timely to prevent delay to the construction progress.
• To ensure that the proper documentation is always kept up to date for proper records and operational needs of the project.
• To cooperate with the safety department and carry out the assigned duties within the safety framework including permit to work.
• To coordinate with consultants and contractors for equipment and combined services testing so that site is ready for authorities’ inspection.
• Prepare M&E progress report or any other reports required by the client or consultants.
• Compile and check completeness and accuracy of all operational and maintenance manuals from suppliers / sub-contractors on completion of project for submission.
• Check and ensure compliance with the requirements of all required quality standards including but not limited to ISO 9000, ISO 14001,OHSAS 18001, Green Mark and Buildability Score.
• Conduct risk assessments and management based on tender drawings and documents and site requirements.
• Develop Value Engineering Cost Down, including cost-effective solutions for M&E.
• Proposed M&E work schedules and lead times to create suitable project schedules using Microsoft Project (or equivalent) for tender project
