Job summary

The Supreme HR Advisory Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a Senior M&E Engineer to coordinate shop drawings, method statements and approvals for upcoming building projects.

You will liaise with consultants and subcontractors, attend technical meetings, and ensure compliance with drawings, specs and authorities’ requirements to keep projects on track. Working days are Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm, with a focus on timely site progress, safety, and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant M&E engineering experience in building projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with consultants/subcontractors on shop drawings, samples, method statements and approvals.
• Attend project/technical meetings and resolve site issues with owners/consultants to keep progress on track.
• Verify on-site work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and authorities’ requirements; ensure rectifications for non-compliance.
• Conduct weekly M&E meetings with subcontractors to maintain sequence and inform site supervisors of progress.
• Resolve site issues with consultants/subcontractors/suppliers to prevent delays.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for records and project operations.
• Coordinate with safety and carry out duties within the permit to work framework.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors for equipment/testing prior to authorities' inspections.
• Prepare M&E progress reports and other required client/consultant reports.
• Compile and check completeness of operation and maintenance manuals from suppliers/subcontractors on project completion.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9000, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, Green Mark and Buildability Score; conduct risk assessments.
• Develop Value Engineering Cost Down and propose M&E work schedules and lead times using Microsoft Project.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of relevant M&E engineering experience in building projects (residential, commercial, industrial, or data centre preferred).

Job scope

• To coordinate with consultants / subcontractors on the shop drawings / samples / method statements submission and approval and keep all involved parties updated of the latest changes.
• To attend project / technical meeting and resolve site and technical issues with owner/ consultants for the site progress to proceed smoothly.
• To verify the work done on site is in accordance with the approved drawings / specifications/ authorities’ requirement and ensure that the subcontractors carry out rectification for non-compliance.
• Conduct minimally weekly M&E meetings with the M&E subcontractors to ensure that their work is in proper sequence and ensure that the site supervisors are aware of the work sequence to avoid clashes of site activities.
• To resolve site issues with consultants / subcontractors/ supplier timely to prevent delay to the construction progress.
• To ensure that the proper documentation is always kept up to date for proper records and operational needs of the project.
• To cooperate with the safety department and carry out the assigned duties within the safety framework including permit to work.
• To coordinate with consultants and contractors for equipment and combined services testing so that site is ready for authorities’ inspection.
• Prepare M&E progress report or any other reports required by the client or consultants.
• Compile and check completeness and accuracy of all operational and maintenance manuals from suppliers / sub-contractors on completion of project for submission.
• Check and ensure compliance with the requirements of all required quality standards including but not limited to ISO 9000, ISO 14001,OHSAS 18001, Green Mark and Buildability Score.
• Conduct risk assessments and management based on tender drawings and documents and site requirements.
• Develop Value Engineering Cost Down, including cost-effective solutions for M&E.
• Proposed M&E work schedules and lead times to create suitable project schedules using Microsoft Project (or equivalent) for tender project
