Job summary

The Supreme HR Advisory Pte Ltd is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical (M&E) Engineer for a Singapore-based project office at Science Park. The role focuses on coordinating with consultants and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with drawings and standards, and supporting project progress.

You will lead M&E coordination meetings, prepare progress reports, and ensure documentation, safety, and quality standards are met. 5 days/week, solid career progression.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 3–8 years of relevant M&E engineering experience in building projects (residential, commercial, industrial or data centre).
• Strong coordination and communication skills with consultants and subcontractors required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with consultants/subcontractors on shop drawings, samples, method statements submission and approvals, and update all parties on changes.
• Attend project/technical meetings and resolve site/technical issues with owner/consultants for project progress.
• Verify site work complies with approved drawings/specifications/authorities' requirements and ensure subcontractor rectifications for non-compliance.
• Lead weekly M&E meetings with subcontractors to ensure proper sequence and awareness of work flow.
• Resolve site issues promptly with consultants/subcontractors/suppliers to prevent delays in construction progress.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for records and operational needs of the project.
• Coordinate with safety department and support safety framework including permit-to-work.
• Coordinate equipment and integrated services testing so sites are ready for authorities' inspection.
• Prepare M&E progress reports and other required reports for the client/consultants.
• Compile and check completeness of operating and maintenance manuals from suppliers/subcontractors at project completion.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9000, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, Green Mark and Buildability Score requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments from tender drawings and site requirements.
• Develop Value Engineering Cost Down with cost-effective M&E solutions.
• Propose M&E work schedules and lead times using Microsoft Project for tender projects.

• Singapore Based (Future Project, project office at Science Park)

• 5 Days work per week (Mon to Fri 8.30am to 5.30pm)

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

• Minimum 3-8 years of relevant M&E engineering experience in building projects (residential, commercial, industrial, or data centre preferred).

• Salary: $3800 to $5400 for engineer, $6000 to $7300 for senior engineer, $6500 to $7900 for assistant manager

Job scope

To coordinate with consultants / subcontractors on the shop drawings / samples / method statements submission and approval and keep all involved parties updated of the latest changes.

To attend project / technical meeting and resolve site and technical issues with owner/ consultants for the site progress to proceed smoothly.

To verify the work done on site is in accordance with the approved drawings / specifications/ authorities’ requirement and ensure that the subcontractors carry out rectification for non-compliance.

Conduct minimally weekly M&E meetings with the M&E subcontractors to ensure that their work is in proper sequence and ensure that the site supervisors are aware of the work sequence to avoid clashes of site activities.

To resolve site issues with consultants / subcontractors / supplier timely to prevent delay to the construction progress.

To ensure that the proper documentation is always kept up to date for proper records and operational needs of the project.

To cooperate with the safety department and carry out the assigned duties within the safety framework including permit to work.

To coordinate with consultants and contractors for equipment and combined services testing so that site is ready for authorities’ inspection.

Prepare M&E progress report or any other reports required by the client or consultants.

Compile and check completeness and accuracy of all operational and maintenance manuals from suppliers / sub-contractors on completion of project for submission.

Check and ensure compliance with the requirements of all required quality standards including but not limited to ISO 9000, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, Green Mark and Buildability Score.

Conduct risk assessments and management based on tender drawings and documents and site requirements.

Develop Value Engineering Cost Down, including cost-effective solutions for M&E.

Proposed M&E work schedules and lead times to create suitable project schedules using Microsoft Project (or equivalent) for tender project
