Job summary

THE SUPREME HR ADVISORY PTE. LTD. is seeking a qualified M&E Project Engineer to oversee coordination of shop drawings, samples, and method statements for building projects in Singapore.

You will liaise with consultants, attend technical meetings, ensure compliance with drawings and authorities’ requirements, conduct weekly M&E meetings, and prepare progress and maintenance reports, while upholding ISO quality standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of M&E engineering experience on building projects (residential, commercial, industrial, or data centre preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with consultants/subcontractors on shop drawings, samples, and method statements and update all parties.
• Attend project/technical meetings and resolve site issues with owner/consultants.
• Verify on-site works conform to drawings/specs and ensure subcontractor rectifications.
• Conduct weekly M&E meetings with subcontractors to align work sequences and avoid clashes.
• Resolve site issues with consultants/subcontractors promptly to avoid delays.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for records and operational needs.
• Coordinate with safety department and carry out duties within permit-to-work framework.
• Coordinate equipment and systems testing for authorities’ inspections.
• Prepare M&E progress reports and documents for client/consultants.
• Check compliance with ISO 9000, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, Green Mark and Buildability Score.
• Develop Value Engineering cost-down and propose schedules for tender projects using Microsoft Project.

Job description

• Working Days: 5 Day A Week (Monday – Friday)
• Working Hours: 8:30am -5:30pm

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of relevant M&E engineering experience in building projects (residential, commercial, industrial, or data centre preferred).

Job scope

• To coordinate with consultants / subcontractors on the shop drawings / samples / method statements submission and approval and keep all involved parties updated of the latest changes.
• To attend project / technical meeting and resolve site and technical issues with owner/ consultants for the site progress to proceed smoothly.
• To verify the work done on site is in accordance with the approved drawings / specifications/ authorities’ requirement and ensure that the subcontractors carry out rectification for non-compliance.
• Conduct minimally weekly M&E meetings with the M&E subcontractors to ensure that their work is in proper sequence and ensure that the site supervisors are aware of the work sequence to avoid clashes of site activities.
• To resolve site issues with consultants / subcontractors / supplier timely to prevent delay to the construction progress.
• To ensure that the proper documentation is always kept up to date for proper records and operational needs of the project.
• To cooperate with the safety department and carry out the assigned duties within the safety framework including permit to work.
• To coordinate with consultants and contractors for equipment and combined services testing so that site is ready for authorities’ inspection.
• Prepare M&E progress report or any other reports required by the client or consultants.
• Compile and check completeness and accuracy of all operational and maintenance manuals from suppliers / sub-contractors on completion of project for submission.
• Check and ensure compliance with the requirements of all required quality standards including but not limited to ISO 9000, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, Green Mark and Buildability Score.
• Conduct risk assessments and management based on tender drawings and documents and site requirements.
• Develop Value Engineering Cost Down, including cost-effective solutions for M&E.
• Proposed M&E work schedules and lead times to create suitable project schedules using Microsoft Project (or equivalent) for tender project
