Job description

Want to be part of something people experience every day?

We’re looking for a Technical Manager to join our team in Sweden.

This is a great opportunity to play a key role in keeping one of Sweden’s leading shopping centres operating at its best, while helping to improve energy performance, optimise technical operations and support long-term investment planning.

You’ll be close to the action, working with colleagues across operations, facilities, finance, suppliers, tenants and external contractors. You’ll have the chance to make a visible impact on the performance, sustainability and day-to-day running of the centre.

If you enjoy taking ownership, solving practical problems and making buildings work better, we’d love to hear from you.

Why this role matters

Our centres are busy, complex environments where great technical operations make a real difference to the experience of our visitors, tenants and teams.

As Technical Manager, you’ll play a central role in making sure the centre operates smoothly, safely and efficiently. You’ll support both day-to-day technical operations and longer-term improvements, from energy performance and maintenance planning to supplier follow-up, reporting and smaller technical projects.

You’ll also help us make smarter, data-led decisions by monitoring operational costs, tracking performance and supporting investment planning that contributes to the centre’s long-term sustainability.

What you’ll be getting involved in

No two days will look exactly the same, but you’ll spend your time:

  • Supporting the smooth running of daily technical operations across the centre
  • Developing and following up operation and maintenance plans together with the Senior Technical Manager
  • Making sure statutory inspections are completed, documented and followed up properly
  • Managing property damages, corrective actions and related technical follow-up
  • Supporting OPEX and CAPEX budget planning, cost control, forecasting and financial administration
  • Following up on energy consumption and preparing monthly energy reports
  • Helping drive sustainability initiatives linked to energy, waste, water, certifications and Better Places 2030
  • Working with the Senior Technical Manager on the Long-Term Energy Action Plan
  • Making sure technical documentation, inspection protocols and tenant-related technical requirements are accurate, updated and accessible
  • Working closely with external suppliers across operations, security, cleaning and waste management to support strong service delivery
  • Supporting supplier performance reviews and identifying opportunities to improve cost, quality and daily operations
  • Managing insurance cases and keeping relevant stakeholders informed
  • Supporting tenant fit-outs from a technical perspective, working closely with project managers and centre teams
  • Acting as a point of contact for tenants on operational and technical matters
  • Supporting technical projects and gradually taking ownership of longer-term project management responsibilities
  • Managing invoice flows, coding and approval processes
  • Supporting annual budgets and quarterly forecasts in collaboration with Finance, Operations Management and department heads
  • Reporting key performance indicators, including energy data, to our Paris headquarters
  • Maintaining accurate reporting and follow-up in systems such as Reporting21, Momentum and Dalux
  • Supporting internal and external reviews, including health and safety and BREEAM-related processes
  • Administering the work preparation portal and making sure agreed contractor processes are followed
What we’re looking for

We’re not looking for someone who ticks every single box. What matters most is that you bring the right technical understanding, attitude and energy to make a real contribution.

You’ll enjoy this role if you:
  • Have experience in technical property management, building operations or a similar technical environment
  • Enjoy working hands‑on with buildings, systems, suppliers and operational teams
  • Like taking ownership and turning practical improvements into action
  • Are confident working with different stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, tenants and internal teams
  • Enjoy solving problems and finding more efficient ways of working
  • Are comfortable using data, reports and systems to support decision‑making
  • Communicate clearly and can adapt your style to different audiences
  • Care about safety, sustainability, service delivery and long-term asset performance
It would be great if you also bring:
  • Relevant post‑secondary technical education, for example in property management, building operations or a related technical field
  • At least 2 to 3 years’ experience in technical property management
  • Strong administrative skills and confidence working with digital systems
  • Experience in commercial property, shopping centres, control systems, automation or energy‑saving projects
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both written and spoken
