Job summary

UNIQLO is recruiting a Maintenance Manager to sit within the European Maintenance Team, based in our Stockholm office. You will own maintenance across Sweden and Denmark, collaborating with Store Operations, Facilities, and Office teams, and coordinating with suppliers at local and European levels.

You will report to the EU Maintenance Manager and work with the COO for the region, ensuring safety, performance, and operational excellence of stores and offices while delivering high service

Qualifications

• 3–4 years' experience in a maintenance department (retail/hospitality preferred).
• Fluent in Danish, Swedish and English.
• Certifications in air-conditioning or electrical work are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel across Scandinavia weekly.
• Strong time management, organization and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage preventive and reactive maintenance across stores and Head Office.
• Conduct regular store visits to identify issues and drive improvements.
• Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks when required.
• Resolve maintenance issues quickly and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and optimise Service Channel and Coupa, including supplier onboarding.
• Manage maintenance budgets and support cost control initiatives.
• Oversee relationships with maintenance suppliers and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with inspections, regulatory requirements, and corrective actions.
• Act as the main contact for insurance claims, landlords, tenants, and contractors.
• Lead supplier tenders to drive savings and improve service quality.
• Build strong partnerships with stores, Head Office teams, and external providers.
• Support additional maintenance-related projects and responsibilities as required.

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Manager to sit within the European Maintenance Team, based in our Stockholm office. You will be reporting to the EU Maintenance Manager, working closely with internal departments including Store Operations, Facilities, and Office teams, as well as external suppliers and vendors at both a local and European level. You will take ownership of all store and office locations across Sweden and Denmark, ensuring maintenance standards are delivered consistently across the market. As this role requires collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders, strong communication skills and fluency in Swedish, Danish, and English are essential.

Skills, Experience and Attributes:

• Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a maintenance department, ideally within the retail or hospitality
• Fluent across Danish, Swedish and English are essential to this role
• Air-conditioning and electrician certifications are a strong advantage
• Able to travel to store locations across Scandinavia on a weekly basis
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise and respond to urgent issues
• Excellent communication, organisation, and customer service skills
• Proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently
• Strong stakeholder management skills across stores, suppliers, and internal teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and maintenance management software
