Job summary

JAM, a leading international contractor, seeks a Regional EHS Manager to drive Environmental, Health & Safety performance across Sweden’s major engineering and construction projects. You’ll lead EHS teams and work with senior management to shape safety standards and culture across the Swedish operation.

You’ll oversee multiple projects, ensure ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 compliance, conduct audits and investigations, and develop safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' EHS experience in construction, engineering, or major infrastructure projects.
• Senior EHS Manager, EHS Lead or Regional EHS Manager level experience.
• Experience overseeing multiple projects, sites, or EHS teams.
• Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management or related.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Experience leading audits, investigations and EHS management systems.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• IOS H or equivalent professional membership advantageous.
• Willingness to travel between projects across Sweden.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS teams across Sweden and drive safety culture.
• Monitor EHS performance, audits, KPIs and compliance.
• Ensure consistent implementation of EHS management system.
• Lead serious incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Conduct regional audits and site inspections.
• Advise Project Directors and operational leadership on EHS matters.
• Develop safety initiatives, training and improvement programmes.
• Support tenders, client meetings and prequalification submissions.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, regulatory authorities and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Swedish and European EHS legislation.
