JAM, a leading international contractor, seeks a Regional EHS Manager to drive Environmental, Health & Safety performance across Sweden’s major engineering and construction projects. You’ll lead EHS teams and work with senior management to shape safety standards and culture across the Swedish operation.

You’ll oversee multiple projects, ensure ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 compliance, conduct audits and investigations, and develop safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' EHS experience in construction, engineering, or major infrastructure projects.
• Senior EHS Manager, EHS Lead or Regional EHS Manager level experience.
• Experience overseeing multiple projects, sites, or EHS teams.
• Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management or related.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Experience leading audits, investigations and EHS management systems.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• IOS H or equivalent professional membership advantageous.
• Willingness to travel between projects across Sweden.

An opportunity has opened for an experienced Regional EHS Manager to take responsibility for Environmental, Health & Safety performance across a portfolio of major engineering and construction projects in Sweden.

You’ll join a well-established international engineering contractor delivering complex projects across Europe, taking a senior regional position with genuine influence over how safety is managed across multiple sites.

This isn't simply a site-based safety position. You'll lead EHS teams, work directly with senior operational management and help drive safety strategy, standards and culture across the Swedish operation.

The Role

You’ll take regional responsibility for EHS performance across multiple projects, including:

• Leading and supporting EHS teams across Sweden
• Driving a strong, proactive safety culture across project teams and subcontractors
• Monitoring EHS performance, KPIs, audits and compliance
• Ensuring consistent implementation of the company EHS Management System
• Leading serious incident investigations and corrective actions
• Conducting regional audits and site inspections
• Advising Project Directors, Project Managers and operational leadership
• Developing safety initiatives, training and improvement programmes
• Supporting tenders, client meetings and prequalification submissions
• Liaising with clients, contractors, regulatory authorities and other key stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with Swedish and applicable European EHS legislation

What We're Looking For

You'll ideally have:

• 10+ years' EHS experience within construction, engineering, electrical, mechanical or major infrastructure projects
• Previous experience at Senior EHS Manager, EHS Lead or Regional EHS Manager level
• Experience overseeing multiple projects, sites or EHS teams
• Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management or a related discipline
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
• Experience leading audits, investigations and EHS management systems
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
• IOSH or equivalent professional membership would be advantageous
• Willingness to travel between projects across Sweden
