Job summary

Frey Recruitment seeks an experienced Sole Engineer to join a 46m private sailing yacht on a 2:2 rotation. The yacht is currently in Spain, with the position starting on 30 September in the South of France.

You will lead the engineering department during your onboard period, performing maintenance, fault-finding and project management. We require hands-on, adaptable professionals with STCW ENG1, B1/B2 visa, driving licence and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Previous Sole Engineer experience on a similar-sized sailing yacht.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
• Hands-on and confident with fault-finding.
• STCW and valid ENG1.
• Full driving licence and B1/B2 visa.
• Fluent English.
• Non-smoker and clean living.
• Professional, sociable and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Take sole responsibility for the engineering department during onboard rotations.
• Perform maintenance, fault-finding and problem-solving.
• Manage contractors and technical projects.
