Job summary

Ascom invites an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex, security‑sensitive projects across healthcare and security sectors. You will partner with customers, technicians, suppliers and sales to steer the full project lifecycle from contract handover to customer acceptance.

The role involves working in highly regulated environments, requires passing security vetting, and initial employment is a 6-month fixed-term contract located in Gothenburg or Stockholm.

Qualifications

• University degree in IT/telecommunications/electronics or related field.
• PM certification such as Prince2, PMP/PMI or equivalent is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and proficient Swedish and English (spoken and written).
• Several years of experience managing complex implementation projects involving IT, communication or security-related solutions.

Job description

As a Senior Project Manager at Ascom

You will work closely with customers, technicians, suppliers and our sales organization to deliver complex, business-critical solutions. You will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from contract handover through implementation to final customer acceptance.

Many of your projects will support customers operating in highly regulated and security-sensitive environments, including correctional facilities and other security organizations, where dependable communication and safety systems are essential for daily operations. In these environments, reliability, security and operational continuity are paramount, making your contribution critical to both our customers and Ascom\'s continued success.

Because this role involves working with security-sensitive systems, information and customers, the successful candidate must be able to undergo and pass a security vetting and clearance process. Employment will initially commence on a fixed-term basis pending successful completion and approval of the required security clearance.

The role can be located in either Gothenburg or Stockholm.

You have

• Relevant higher education such as a university degree in IT, telecommunications, electronics or a related field. Relevant practical experience is also highly valued.
• Project management certification such as Prince2, PMP/PMI or equivalent is considered an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Several years of experience managing complex implementation projects involving IT, communication or security-related solutions.
• Experience working with customers within the healthcare, security, correctional, public safety or critical infrastructure sectors is highly advantageous.
• The ability to successfully pass a security vetting and clearance process is a requirement for this role.

Important Information

Please note: This position involves work with security-sensitive customers, systems and information. Employment is therefore conditional upon successfully completing and receiving approval through a security vetting and clearance process and will commence as a 6 month fixed-term contract. Candidates who are unable to obtain the required clearance will unfortunately not be eligible for continued employment in this role.
