Job summary

Ascom is seeking a Project Manager (R&D) to lead complex, high-impact development projects within our global R&D organization. You will own end-to-end delivery, drive continuous improvement, mentor colleagues, and contribute to product and people development.

The role focuses on ensuring quality, regulatory compliance, and alignment with strategic priorities across multiple functions in a global setting.

Qualifications

• Degree (BSc/MSc) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Engineering team leader.
• Experience from product development of products including electronics, mechanics and embedded SW.
• Experience from managing cross-functional projects in global environments.
• Certification in project management (e.g. PMP) is a plus.

• Lead and coordinate cross-functional R&D projects across global teams (R&D, Supply, Marketing, Regulatory & Legal)
• Own end-to-end project delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities
• Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory standards, and internal development processes
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and compliance risks proactively
• Plan, execute, and continuously improve project methodologies and ways of working
• Drive collaboration and knowledge sharing across projects and teams
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and ensure alignment across functions and leadership levels
• Deliver clear reporting and strategic recommendations to steering committees

About the Role

In the role you will lead complex, high-impact development projects within our global R&D organization. In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end delivery, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, meeting quality standards, and drive innovation across our product portfolio. You will play a crucial role in strengthening project management practices and driving continuous improvement, while mentoring colleagues and contributing to the development of both products and people.

As a Project Manager (R&D), you will:

Your Profile
