Supermicro seeks a Sr. Field Application Engineer to join a dynamic team responsible for developing new and existing opportunities in the global IT market.

You will work with customers from ground to executive levels, manage projects jointly with internal and external teams, and help grow the business by delivering optimized hardware and software solutions. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering; computer engineering or electrical engineering preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and business sense required.
• Minimum 5 years related experience with Compute/Storage Server or Data Center or IT infrastructure.
• Strong background and experience with x86-based server architecture.
• Solid HW system design and diagnostics skills.
• Familiarity with Firmware, Linux, Windows and virtualization platforms is a plus.
• Strong technical communication and leadership skills to lead investigations with engineers of multiple disciplines.
• Individual must be able to work effectively in a high pressure environment.
• Fluency in English and Swedish required; other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with sales and extended teams to map customer requirements and provide optimized technical solutions.
• Provides technical leadership in Pre-Sales and oversee implementation of solutions.
• Solves complex hw/sw issues and guides cross‑functional teams in investigation and resolution.
• Leads product hardware and software engineers during development.
• Trains and mentors teams for field deployments and customer engagements.
• Presents systems solutions, technical bids, and presentations to customers.
• Visits on-site facilities to enable solution integration and issue resolution.
• Travel up to 25% as needed.
