Job summary

Fujitsu Limited in Stockholm is seeking a Network Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our Hybrid IT Services network team. The role focuses on solving complex network issues, developing large-scale solutions, and supporting high-availability service delivery.

Proficiency in Swedish is a plus; fluent English required. You will work across firewall, routing, VPN, and automation, collaborating with a skilled team and contributing to design and implementation.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience operating and troubleshooting enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto, Check Point) and network gear.
• Strong background in routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP).
• Deep knowledge of firewall architectures (Palo Alto, Juniper, Fortinet/FortiGate).
• Experience with VPN solutions (Site-to-Site, GlobalProtect).
• Ability to perform packet captures and analyze traffic and logs.
• Proactive, analytical mindset with root-cause analysis focus.
• Understanding of automation, Ansible/Python, and Linux environments.
• Strong teamwork and communication; can lead when needed.

About the role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Network Engineer with 5+ years of experiencewho thrives on solving complex network issues and wants to help drive our service delivery to the next level. The position is within our Stockholm-based Network team, part of Hybrid IT Services.

This role plays a central part within the team and offers the opportunity to become a trusted network expert across the organization. We are looking for someone, who has a strong background in implementing and developing large-scale network solutions, a solid understanding of network infrastructure fundamentals, and a hands‑on approach to network architecture and design.

Proficiency in Swedish is a plus, while fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.

We are looking for:

• Extensive experience operating and troubleshooting enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto, Check Point), along with experience in Cisco, Cisco ISE, and HPE/Aruba troubleshooting, and a solid understanding of best-practice configurations.
• Deep understanding of routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP).
• In-depth knowledge of firewall architectures and technologies (Palo Alto, Juniper, Fortinet/FortiGate).
• Proficient in implementing VPN solutions (Site-to-Site and GlobalProtect).
• Skilled in performing packet captures, analyzing traffic flows, and interpreting logs.
• Proactive, analytical mindset with a strong focus on root-cause analysis.
• Solid understanding of automation, Ansible/Python, and Linux.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills, capable of taking a lead role when needed, and able to remain calm under pressure.

Bonus if you have:

• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Zabbix, Prometheus, Op5, Cisco Catalyst Center, etc.).
• Familiarity with Linux networking tools (tcpdump, traceroute, iptables).
• Network/security certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PCNSE, or CCSA/CCSE.
