Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a 1st / 2nd line Datacenter System Engineer for our branch in the Netherlands, with responsibilities in supporting customers in Iceland.

You will trouble-shoot and resolve server-hardware problems while ensuring high customer satisfaction across diverse cultures. This role requires strong communication skills, problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work under pressure. Qualifications

  • Experience with 1st and 2nd line support.

Job Summary

1st / 2nd line Datacenter System Engineer for our branch in the Netherlands (s‑Hertogenbosch), supporting customers in Iceland. This role expands our current service department team to meet the needs of large international customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As a Datacenter System Engineer you will accept, register and resolve various server‑hardware problems both remotely and at customer sites. Your responsibilities include troubleshooting, problem analysis, and maintaining high customer satisfaction across diverse cultures and nationalities. You will be expected to travel occasionally to serve clients.

Qualifications
  • A completed (senior) vocational education towards IT or a comparable level obtained through experience.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Experience with 1st and 2nd line support.
  • Experience in datacenters is an advantage.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Analytic and problem‑solving mindset.
  • Quick learning ability.
  • Capability to work individually and under pressure.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows OS/Linux.
  • Basic knowledge of system management (networks, servers, databases).
  • Professional appearance and representation.
