Job summary

Stena Metall Group is seeking a People Analytics Specialist to turn people data into strategic insights and support leaders across the organization. You will bridge data trends with business needs, driving data-driven decision-making and growth.

You will collaborate with Compensation & Benefits, People & Culture, and stakeholders to build analyses, present recommendations, and develop dashboards that simplify complex information for leadership.

Qualifications

  • University degree in HR, business, data science, statistics, or related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in People Analytics, reporting, and people data.
  • Strong Excel and advanced data analysis skills.
  • Experience with data visualization and turning complex data into insights.
  • HRIS experience, preferably Workday.
  • Understanding of end-to-end HR processes and GDPR.
  • Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

  • Delivering People Analytics insights to various parts of the organization, including Group management, People & Culture, and business areas across different markets.
  • Identifying and communicating connections between data, HR initiatives, and business outcomes.
  • Support compensation benchmarking through gathering and cleaning market data.
  • Preparing, analyzing, and visualizing data to support decision-making processes.
  • Developing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that make complex information easy to understand.
  • Presenting analyses and recommendations to leadership teams and key decision-makers.
  • Owning and continuously improving headcount reporting and other people metrics.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to define reporting needs and identify opportunities for new analytics solutions.
  • Act as a sounding board to People & Culture in job evaluation and market data benchmarks.
  • Contribute to reward-related activities as needed.

We are now looking for an experienced People Analytics Specialist who can help us transform data into meaningful insights that support leaders across the organization.

Your role

As our People Analytics Specialist, you will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the business. You will bridge the gap between people data and business needs, ensuring that the insights support strategic priorities, operational effectiveness, and long-term growth.

You will work closely with your team within Compensation and Benefits, People & Culture, business leaders, and other stakeholders to identify trends, build analyses, and translate complex data into clear recommendations and actions. You report to Head of Compensation and Benefits, Stena Metall Group.

Your responsibilities will include:

We are looking for someone who combines strong analytical capabilities with business understanding and excellent communication skills. You have the ability to see the story behind the numbers and communicate it in a way that creates impact. You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working with both data and people.

As a person you are curious, driven to continuously improve and develop and have the ability to build trust across the organization. You have a strong analytical mindset, like to challenge assumptions and bring new perspectives that help drive progress and innovation.

You also have:
  • A university degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
  • Two to three years of experience working with People Analytics, reporting, and people data
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel and advanced data analysis
  • Experience with data visualization and turning complex information into business insights
  • Experience from HRIS systems, preferably Workday
  • An understanding of end-to-end HR processes
  • An understanding of GDPR and data privacy requirements related to employee data
  • Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written

You will be part of our Compensation & Benefits team which today consist of 13 persons supporting the organization with payroll, maintenance and development of Workday, headcount reporting, group common and Sweden specific compensation and benefit support, among other things. You will also work closely with colleagues across People & Culture and the wider business.
