Job summary

Sharp Brains in Kumla is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer Level 1 for full-time, on-site work. You will handle end-user IT support, IMAC activities, OS imaging, and patching, using SCCM/Intune and ServiceNow for ticketing and asset management.

You will provide remote and deskside support for MS Office, Outlook, VPN clients, and ensure security policy enforcement. Experience with ITIL processes and Active Directory is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience providing end-to-end technical support for desktop and laptop systems.
• Familiarity with ITIL incident, problem, and service request processes.
• Experience with SCCM, Intune, and ServiceNow for asset tracking and ticket resolution.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end technical support for desktop and laptop systems, troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Perform IMAC activities and break/fix tasks for end-user devices.
• Manage full lifecycle of desktop devices: configuration, patching, OS imaging, vendor replacements.
• Deliver support using SCCM, Intune, and ServiceNow for asset tracking and remote assistance.
• Administer approved software installations, updates, and security patching per IT policies.
• Provide remote and deskside support using EUC tools; support MS Office, Outlook, and VPN clients.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols, antivirus monitoring, and desktop policy enforcement.
• Offer VIP support and act as primary onsite contact during critical escalations or outages.
• Support printers, scanners, and peripherals; maintenance tasks.
• Assist with Active Directory tasks, basic user accounts, and smart hands support.
• Maintain documentation of incidents, hardware inventory, and technical guides.
• Familiar with Windows OS environments, mobile device support.
• Follow ITIL practices for incident, problem, and service request management.
