Job summary

HSBC Sweden is seeking an Analyst for Nordics Coverage within Global Banking. You will support Global Relationship Bankers, manage Nordic client relationships, assess financial performance, analyze markets, and coordinate with product and country teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

You will identify opportunities, prepare proposals and pitch materials, and contribute to portfolio management and credit assessment. English fluency is required; Nordic language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong quantitative, qualitative and financial analysis skills.
• Ability to conduct detailed research into industries, competitors, clients and products.
• Experience preparing marketing materials, presentations or pitch books.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and corporate banking products.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Collaborative, motivated and reliable approach with ability to build relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Nordic language skills are helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support Global Relationship Bankers in managing client relationships across the Nordic region.
• Analyse clients' financial performance, industries, competitive environments and credit strengths and weaknesses.
• Identify business development opportunities and prepare proposals, presentations and pitch materials.
• Work with clients and internal product teams to support the smooth and timely execution of transactions.
• Build knowledge of financial markets and sector developments to support origination, portfolio management and credit assessment.
• Support effective portfolio management by considering returns, risk and opportunities to optimise capital usage.
