Job summary

HSBC Sweden is seeking a Private Banking professional to evolve the Scandinavian UHNW client base and deepen long-term relationships with priority clients. You will collaborate with local and regional teams to identify opportunities, cross-sell international capabilities and connect family offices with the Private Bank network.

In this role you will lead networking events, support Relationship Managers with strategic discussions, and navigate cross-border considerations while upholding HSBC's

Overview

Being part of HSBC in Sweden, this role helps evolve & grow the Private Banking business, building profitable, long‑term relationships with priority HSBC clients in Scandinavia, focusing on Ultra High Net Worth individuals and Single Family Offices.

Responsibilities
  • Socialise within local and regional business networks to identify, connect and make further referrals to the Private Bank.
  • Provide a generic reference to the local and international capabilities housed at HSBC (i.e., the basic spectrum of Lines of Business, including the Private Bank and international connectivity).
  • Work with local and regional HBCE corporate banking teams, jointly review portfolios and identify banking needs for UHNWI business owners and executives, connecting them with the Private Bank.
  • Further organise Private Bank (also joint with Corporate Banking) marketing and networking events, aiming to brand and best represent HSBC capabilities within local and regional business communities.
  • Support Private Bank Relationship Managers in keeping contacts and holding strategic development discussions with their local clients, following documented client consent and within permissible cross‑border parameters.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in relationship management and/or senior management experience in the private / investment banking sector or wider financial services sector with significant experience in originating and serving Scandinavian‑based UHNW families and Family Offices.
  • Proven track record in asset gathering/growth and revenue generation.
  • Strong commercial acumen and C‑level negotiation capability.
  • Excellent client‑facing communication, listening and problem‑solving skills; able to operate as a trusted adviser.
  • Sound financial, investment and product knowledge across international banking solutions beyond standard Private Banking products.
  • Solid understanding of wealth structuring and succession planning, including legal and tax implications.
  • Established Scandinavian network with ability to generate significant New‑to‑Bank business and leverage Group capabilities.
  • Project‑leadership mindset: mobilise specialists, coordinate delivery, and manage internal stakeholders effectively.
  • Fluency in English; other languages relevant to the market served would be an asset. German and/or French a plus.

The pay range for this role is 1,157,300SEK – 1,735,900SEK.
