Job summary

TechShack is seeking a Data Engineer to join a long-term digital transformation programme for a major European B2B organisation. You will work in a cross-functional Data & AI team, building scalable data solutions in Databricks while supporting wider AI and automation initiatives.

The role requires 3-5+ years in data engineering, strong Databricks experience, Python, Spark/PySpark and SQL, plus a consulting mindset and excellent stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years' Data Engineering experience.
• 3+ years' hands-on Databricks experience.
• Strong Python, Apache Spark / PySpark and SQL skills.
• Experience designing and building scalable data pipelines and platforms.
• Previous experience working in consulting or client-facing environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

My client is looking for a Data Engineer to join a long-term digital transformation programme for a major European B2B organisation.

You'll join a cross-functional Data & AI team working closely with both technical and business stakeholders, building scalable data solutions in Databricks while supporting wider AI, automation and commercial transformation initiatives.

Technical Skills:

• 3-5+ years' Data Engineering experience
• 3+ years' hands-on Databricks experience
• Strong Python, Apache Spark / PySpark and SQL
• Experience designing and building scalable data pipelines and platforms
• Previous experience working in consulting or client-facing environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

This is a significant transformation programme with an initial 2-year roadmap. The wider team includes Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Analysts, Business Developers and commercial specialists.

The preference is for someone who can initially spend around 4 days per week onsite to integrate with the team and build strong relationships. Remote candidates can still be considered for particularly strong profiles.
