Job summary

Hadron Talent -Hadronfinsys in Gothenburg, Sweden seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, build and own scalable data products and reliable data pipelines that support product development and data-driven decision-making. This is an initial 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension.

You will work closely with Product, Engineering and Analytics teams while ensuring data is secure, compliant (GDPR) and well-documented, and you will mentor teammates to raise engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Data Engineering experience.
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python, Scala or Java.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Strong experience building production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Solid understanding of data architecture, modelling, governance and data quality.
• Experience with production monitoring, reliability, troubleshooting and performance optimization.
• Understanding of data privacy and compliance, preferably GDPR.
• Experience working in product/engineering-focused environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across multiple source systems.

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a data-driven technology environment in Gothenburg. This is an initial 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension.

About the Role

You will be responsible for designing, building and owning scalable data products and reliable data pipelines that support product development, analytics and data-driven decision-making.

You will work closely with Product, Engineering and Analytics teams, while collaborating with Privacy, Legal and Security stakeholders to ensure data is reliable, secure and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of Data Engineering experience, ideally with large-scale or sensor-based data.
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python, Scala or Java.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Strong experience building and managing production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Solid understanding of data architecture, modelling, governance and data quality.
• Experience with production monitoring, reliability, troubleshooting and performance optimization.
• Understanding of data privacy and compliance, preferably GDPR.
• Experience working in product/engineering-focused environments and collaborating across technical and business teams.

Nice to Have

Experience with Databricks, Spark, Airflow, dbt, Kafka/streaming or Grafana, as well as exposure to MLOps, Data Science, Analytics or IoT/sensor data.
