Job summary

Shaker Consultancy Group in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Safety Officer to implement and enforce health, safety and environmental policies, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment and promoting a strong safety culture across the organization. You will perform site inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, deliver toolbox talks and trainings, and maintain safety records including PTW.

A NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification and solid knowledge of local regulations are

Qualifications

• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent safety certification preferred.
• Knowledge of local safety regulations and standards.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and risk assessment techniques.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with local occupational health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
• Monitor adherence to safety procedures and safe work practices.
• Conduct risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks.
• Follow up on implementation of corrective actions.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Prepare detailed incident reports with root cause analysis.
• Recommend and monitor corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions.
• Promote continuous improvement in safety culture.
• Maintain safety records, reports and compliance documentation.
• Prepare monthly HSE reports and performance statistics.
• Ensure permits to work (PTW) are properly issued and controlled.
• Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
• Ensure availability and proper maintenance of fire and safety equipment.
• Coordinate with emergency services when required.

Purpose

Responsibilities
