The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment at the HV substation site by implementing project HSE plans, enforcing safety rules, and promoting a proactive safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Project HSE Plan and client safety requirements.
• Based on the project design document, execution scheme and project safety criteria, prepare the project safety control scheme and inspect the safety construction accordingly.
• Participate in fieldwork for site daily inspection and evaluation of the safety situation.
• Investigate and report the safety problems in a timely manner as per the regulations.
• Investigate and handle the safety accident, and provide the investigation report timely.
• Record the site safety situation strictly, and submit the safety inspection report timely.
• Regularly organize the safety overhaul and safety training.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment.
• Investigate and report incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts.
• Coordinate with Site Manager to control high-risk activities.
• Conduct HSE induction and training for all site personnel.
• Maintain HSE records, reports, and statistics.
• Liaise with client HSE representatives and authorities when required.
