The Job in a Nutshell

The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations, accounting, and financial reporting of the company, a SAMA-regulated payment services entity. The role ensures strong financial governance, accurate reporting, and alignment with regulatory, audit, and group finance requirements, while working closely with Compliance and Risk functions within a regulated FinTech environment.

What Will You Do
  • Financial Management & Reporting: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and group accounting policies.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing clear financial insights to management.
  • Ensure consistency and alignment with group consolidation and reporting requirements.
  • Aggregator Accounts & Reconciliations: Oversee financial control, monitoring, and reconciliation of bank aggregator and settlement accounts subject to SAMA oversight.
  • Ensure daily and monthly reconciliations between aggregator bank accounts, merchant balances, settlement files, and system records.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciling items, timing differences, and exceptions on a timely basis.
  • Ensure proper segregation between company funds and merchant / client funds in line with safeguarding requirements.
  • Maintain clear documentation, audit trails, and reconciliation support for regulatory review and audits.
  • Work closely with Operations, Compliance, and Banking partners to ensure accuracy and completeness of settlement processes.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Support: Support the Compliance function in meeting SAMA regulatory and financial reporting requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and validate financial data, schedules, and disclosures required for regulatory submissions.
  • Act as the finance representative in regulatory matters, working closely with Compliance, Risk, and Legal teams.
  • Support regulatory examinations, audits, and inspections from a financial reporting and controls perspective.
  • Ensure finance processes and records are aligned with regulatory obligations applicable to payment service providers.
  • All regulatory communication with SAMA remains owned by the Compliance function.
  • Governance & Internal Controls: Design, implement, and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting and operations.
  • Ensure appropriate segregation of duties, approval matrices, and documented finance procedures.
  • Identify financial and operational risks and propose effective mitigation measures.
  • Ensure alignment with the company’s governance framework and the Three Lines of Defense model.
  • Banking, Treasury & Settlements: Manage banking relationships and oversee cash management, liquidity monitoring, and settlement processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely bank, merchant, and settlement reconciliations.
  • Support safeguarding and client funds requirements, where applicable.
  • Audit & External Stakeholders: Lead statutory and regulatory audits from a finance perspective and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Ensure timely resolution of audit findings and implementation of agreed action plans.
  • Support management in responding to auditor and regulator queries related to financial matters.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Operations, and Product teams to ensure financial alignment with business activities.
  • Support management decision-making through sound financial analysis in a regulated FinTech environment.
What Are We Looking For
  • Saudi National (mandatory).
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within banking, financial services, or a regulated FinTech / payments environment.
  • Strong understanding of the Saudi regulatory landscape and SAMA requirements relevant to payment service providers.
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
  • Professional certifications (SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, CMA) are highly preferred.
  • Skills & Competencies: Strong financial governance and control mindset.
