  • Support calibration and assembly procedures.
  • Maintain tools and parts for readiness.
  • Collaborate with engineers to improve processes.
  • Follow Quality Management System requirements.
  • Support lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives.
  • Suggest improvements for safety, quality, delivery and cost.

Job Summary

The Welder - Instrument Builder is responsible for assembling, welding, testing, and inspecting instrument components in accordance with established manufacturing, quality, and safety standards. This role supports production operations by ensuring high-quality workmanship, efficient execution of manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Perform assembly, welding, testing, and inspection activities for instrument products and components.
  • Conduct TIG welding on a variety of materials while ensuring compliance with quality and safety requirements.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and related tools.
  • Perform product testing, quality verification, basic troubleshooting, and repairs as required.
  • Inspect completed welds and assemblies to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  • Support calibration and assembly activities in accordance with manufacturing procedures.
  • Maintain equipment, tools, and spare parts to ensure operational readiness.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Production Engineers to improve processes, quality, and productivity.
  • Maintain accurate adherence to Quality Management System requirements.
  • Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Recommend improvements related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment following 5S principles.
  • Perform multiple production tasks to support operational flexibility and job rotation requirements.
  • Follow all safety procedures and promptly report unsafe conditions.

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in TIG welding.
  • Experience with manufacturing, assembly, or industrial production environments.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform physically demanding tasks as required.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart
  • Experience in instrumentation or process automation manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of quality inspection and product testing processes.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and 5S methodologies.
  • Experience working with production documentation and manufacturing procedures.
