Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Welder - Instrument Builder to assemble, weld, test, and inspect instrument components in our manufacturing facility. You will uphold safety and quality standards while contributing to efficient production and continuous improvement.

You will perform TIG welding, set up equipment, conduct product testing, and collaborate with Manufacturing and Production Engineers to refine processes and ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

  • Technical Diploma, Technical College certification, or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in TIG welding.
  • Experience with manufacturing, assembly, or industrial production environments.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly, welding, testing, and inspection activities for instrument products and components.
  • Conduct TIG welding on a variety of materials while ensuring compliance with quality and safety requirements.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and related tools.
  • Perform product testing, quality verification, basic troubleshooting, and repairs as required.
  • Inspect completed welds and assemblies to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  • Support calibration and assembly activities in accordance with manufacturing procedures.
  • Maintain equipment, tools, and spare parts to ensure operational readiness.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Production Engineers to improve processes, quality, and productivity.
  • Maintain accurate adherence to Quality Management System requirements.
  • Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Recommend improvements related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment following 5S principles.
  • Perform multiple production tasks to support operational flexibility and job rotation requirements.
  • Follow all safety procedures and promptly report unsafe conditions.

Job Summary

The Welder - Instrument Builder is responsible for assembling, welding, testing, and inspecting instrument components in accordance with established manufacturing, quality, and safety standards. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
