Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Welder - Instrument Builder to assemble, weld, test and inspect instrument components per defined standards. You will perform TIG welding on diverse materials, set up and maintain equipment, and support calibration and assembly activities in a production setting.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years TIG welding experience, basic computer skills, and good English communication. The role emphasizes safety, quality and lean continuous improvement in a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma, Technical College certification, or equivalent qualification.
• 1–2 years of experience in TIG welding.
• Experience in manufacturing, assembly or industrial production environments.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, weld, test and inspect instrument components.
• Perform TIG welding on a variety of materials.
• Set up, operate and maintain welding equipment and tools.
• Test products, verify quality, troubleshoot and repair as needed.
• Inspect welds and assemblies for conformance to specs.
• Support calibration and assembly per procedures.
• Maintain tools, equipment and spare parts for readiness.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Production Engineers to improve processes.
• Maintain adherence to the Quality Management System.
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Recommend safety, quality, delivery and cost improvements.
• Maintain a safe, organized and clean work environment following 5S.
• Perform multiple production tasks to support flexibility and rotation.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions promptly.
