Job summary

You will receive shipments, verify quantities, load and unload with suitable equipment, maintain accurate records, assist in stock checks, and coordinate with logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery and safe handling of goods.

Qualifications

• Ability to receive shipments accurately and verify quantities.
• Experience with loading/unloading equipment (forklift, pallet jack) preferred.
• Attention to detail for packing lists, bills of lading, and inventory counts.
• Basic safety awareness and adherence to warehouse SOPs.
• Strong teamwork and communication with logistics and transport teams.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy items as required.
• Willingness to follow instructions and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Receiving shipments and ensuring accuracy of quantities and product types.
• Processing and coordinating outgoing shipments according to schedule and route.
• Loading and unloading vehicles using appropriate equipment; maintain clear records.
• Handling inventory and organizing storage locations; assist with stock checks.
• Documenting movements in warehouse systems and tracking inbound/outbound shipments.
• Maintaining clean and safe work areas; report hazards or faults promptly.
• Coordinating with logistics, transport, and warehouse teams for smooth operations.

Job description

1. 1. Receiving Shipments Receive incoming shipments and ensure accuracy of quantities and product types. Check for visible damages and report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor. Ensure goods are unloaded safely and moved to the correct storage or staging areas.

2. 2. Shipment Processing & Coordination Prepare and organize outgoing shipments according to schedule. Verify shipment details such as destination, route, and load accuracy. Coordinate with the transport or dispatch team to ensure timely departures.

3. 3. Loading & Unloading Load and unload vehicles efficiently using appropriate equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack). Ensure shipments are handled with care to prevent damage. Maintain accurate records of all loaded and unloaded shipments.

4. 4. Inventory Handling Move and organize materials in the warehouse to support shipment flow. Ensure all items are stored in their designated locations for easy retrieval. Assist in stock checks or physical verification related to shipping activities.

5. 5. Documentation & Tracking Record shipment movements in the warehouse system or logs. Support tracking of inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accuracy. Maintain shipment records for reference and audits.

6. 6. Safety & Housekeeping Follow all warehouse safety guidelines and operating procedures. Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from hazards. Report equipment faults or safety concerns promptly.

7. 7. Teamwork & Communication Coordinate with logistics, transport, and warehouse control teams for smooth operations. Communicate effectively regarding delays, damages, or shipment-related issues.
