Job summary

JD.com is inviting interns to join the JD Young (JDY) Internship Program as Merchandising Associates, focusing on optimizing product presentation and sales performance across our e-commerce platform. You will support the merchandising team in executing strategies to improve customer experience and drive revenue growth.

Over 3–6 months, you'll work with experienced teams, gain hands-on exposure to real projects, and develop core merchandising skills within a global business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or related field.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and draw actionable conclusions.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, development, and execution of merchandising strategies for assigned product categories.
• Conduct regular analysis of sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure product availability, accurate information, and effective promotional campaigns.
• Monitor and maintain product listings, ensuring high-quality images, descriptions, and pricing are consistently updated.
• Support creation and optimization of product pages, landing pages, and promotional banners to maximize conversion rates.
• Track KPIs and generate reports on merchandising effectiveness, providing insights and recommendations.
• Participate in seasonal planning and new product launches, contributing to strategic assortment decisions.
• Ensure compliance with JD Industrials merchandising guidelines and standards.

About Your Program

As a Merchandising Associate at JD Industrials, you will play a crucial role in optimizing product presentation and sales performance across our e-commerce platform. You will support the merchandising team in executing strategies to enhance customer experience and drive revenue growth.

• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and online retail best practices is a plus.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
