Job summary

Huxley seeks an experienced leader to develop and execute a Virtual Assets and Digital Innovation program within a major financial institution. The role focuses on tokenization, blockchain-enabled services, digital money, and new payment tech, driving pilot initiatives and long-term adoption.

The candidate will explore market opportunities, monitor regulatory developments, and collaborate with regulators, fintechs, and technology partners to advance digital assets and innovative payments

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience across banking, financial services, fintech, payments, blockchain, or emerging technology environments.
• Experience delivering complex technology or innovation initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of banking infrastructure, payments, settlement models, and regulatory environments.
• Hands-on exposure to digital assets, tokenization, blockchain technologies, CBDCs, digital wallets, or related ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the organization's roadmap for virtual assets and blockchain-related initiatives.
• Identify opportunities across tokenized assets, tokenized deposits, digital payments, and distributed ledger technologies.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of innovation initiatives, from concept development and feasibility analysis through pilot execution and scaling recommendations.
• Partner with external technology providers, fintech firms, industry participants, and strategic partners to evaluate and implement new solutions.
• Engage with regulatory stakeholders and ensure initiatives align with relevant compliance and governance requirements.
• Coordinate internal approval processes, risk reviews, and governance activities for new use cases and pilot programs.
• Work closely with teams across Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Payments, Treasury, Operations, and Business functions.
• Translate complex blockchain and digital asset concepts into practical use cases that deliver business value.
• Assess impacts on payment flows, settlement processes, wallet infrastructure, liquidity management, reconciliation, and operational controls.
• Build business cases and evaluate opportunities from strategic, financial, operational, and risk perspectives.
• Monitor developments within digital assets, central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), tokenization, and emerging payment ecosystems.
• Represent the virtual assets function in senior stakeholder discussions and industry engagements.
• Maintain clear documentation covering assessments, pilot outcomes, governance decisions, and implementation recommendations.
• Support internal awareness and capability building related to digital assets and blockchain technologies.
