Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Riyadh is seeking a VELYS Robotic Assisted Solution Lead to advance Capital Sales for MedTech. You will provide clinical, technical, and commercial support across the VELYS portfolio and help drive adoption at customer accounts.

You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Education, and Technical Support, install systems, train staff, and build lasting partnerships while guiding OEM opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a scientific, technical, or health‑science discipline.
• Postgraduate studies in Business Administration are considered an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years in a clinical/OR‑facing medical‑device role (sales, clinical applications, surgical tech).
• Minimum 2 years of experience with robotic total knee replacement systems is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Commercial Strategy & Capital Sales Support: develop data‑driven programs and initiatives; use market analysis and insights to strengthen strategies; translate analytics into growth and retention.
• Clinical & Procedure Support: act as a clinical/technical expert for the VELYS solution; advise surgeons on procedural techniques and system use; support onboarding of new robotic customers.
• Installation, Implementation & Customer Enablement: coordinate system installations, site-readiness, and training; support post-installation adoption; build relationships with stakeholders.
• Education & Professional Development: facilitate commercial and professional education for customers and internal teams; coach junior colleagues.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Education, and Technical Support to align objectives; support integration of customers into digital surgery ecosystem.

Purpose:

The VELYS Robotic Assisted Solution Lead plays a pivotal role in advancing Capital Sales objectives through expert clinical, technical, and commercial support across the VELYS Robotic Assisted Solution portfolio. The role supports the development and execution of results-driven initiatives that enhance competitive positioning, accelerate growth, and enable successful adoption of the VELYS platform within customer accounts.

You will be responsible for:

Commercial Strategy & Capital Sales Support

• Support development and implementation of data-driven programs and initiatives aligned with Capital Sales objectives.
• Utilize market analysis, competitive intelligence, and customer insights to strengthen commercial strategies.
• Translate analytics into actionable growth, sales, and customer-retention initiatives.
• Partner closely with the Robotic Sales Manager and Joint Reconstruction Sales Force to drive customer engagement and accelerate the opportunity pipeline.

Clinical & Procedure Support

• Serve as a clinical and technical expert for the VELYS Robotic-Assisted Solution, with strong proficiency in procedural workflows, system operation, and clinical attributes.
• Provide case support at customer accounts and advise surgeons on procedural techniques and effective use of the VELYS platform.
• Support onboarding of new robotic customers and integration of the system into their clinical practice.

Installation, Implementation & Customer Enablement

• Coordinate and execute system installations, site-readiness activities, and customer in-service training.
• Support post-installation transition, adoption, and continued utilization of the system.
• Build strong relationships with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to support customer satisfaction and long‑term partnership.

Education & Professional Development

• Facilitate Commercial and Professional Education activities for customers and internal teams.
• Coach junior colleagues by sharing clinical knowledge, best practices, and operational processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Education, and Technical Support teams to ensure alignment and delivery of commercial objectives.
• Support integration of Joint Reconstruction customers into the broader digital surgery ecosystem.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a scientific, technical, or health‑science discipline, such as Medical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or Physics.
• Postgraduate studies in Business Administration are considered an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years in a clinical/OR‑facing medical‑device role, such as medical‑device sales, clinical applications, surgical technology, or biomedical with significant OR exposure.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with robotic total knee replacement systems is preferable.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.
