Job summary

BAE Systems in Riyadh is seeking a CM Development professional to design platform-specific countermeasures for RF and IR threats and to assess TWS reports. You will communicate recommendations and rationale to frontline users and support the ECM MD production team with practical implementation guidance.

The role requires an engineering degree, experience with aerospace systems, and the ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering degree required.
• Experience in developing and applying engineering processes.
• Aerospace systems knowledge and defense industry exposure preferred.
• Qualified Instructor (Air or Ground) preferable.

Responsibilities

• Assess TWS reports and analyse CMs.
• Design platform-specific CCMs (ECM, expendables, manoeuvres).
• Generate platform-specific CM Handbook and Tactics Report with rationale.
• Assist Operations in communicating tactic and CM rationale to stakeholders.
• Plan trials and analyse exercise data.
• Develop and maintain processes and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as required by RSAF.

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF JOB:

The role of CM Development is to develop effective platform-specific CMs that exploit identified vulnerabilities in RF and IR TWS and effectively communicate via EW Operations any recommendations and rationale to the front-line users; furthermore, they would also provide the ECM MD production team with advice on how best to implement a CM.

Responsibilities:

• Assess TWS reports and analyse CMs
• Design platform specific CCMs, consisting of ECM, expendables and manoeuvres
• Generation of the platform specific Countermeasure Handbook and Countermeasure Tactics Report descriptions and rationale for all countermeasures and their associated tactic
• Supporting Operations team when necessary to communicate Tactic & CM rationale with the relevant stakeholders
• Trials planning
• Processing and analysis of trials and exercise data
• Develop and maintain processes and procedures
• In addition, the post is to carry out any further functions requested by the RSAF

Job Requirements:

• High level of interpersonal skills to co-ordinate a large number of diverse activities and the ability to communicate, influence and direct the decision-making process at all levels.
• Suitable experience in gaining the confidence of a wide spectrum of stakeholders.
• Practical experience in the development and delivery of an engineering solution.
• Holder of a Bachelor of Engineering degree.
• Experience of the development and application of engineering processes.
• Experience of Aerospace Systems and Support activities.
• Aeronautical and Defense Company / Industry knowledge (ideally 5 years minimum 3 years’ experience); involved in diverse engineering projects.
• Qualified Instructor (Air or Ground) preferable.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft applications.
