Job summary

BRKZ in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Treasury & Banking Accountant to manage bank statements in Zoho Books daily, reconcile accounts, and oversee LC and cheque cycles.

Responsibilities include uploading statements, following LC terms, depositing cheques, and coordinating with banks and internal teams to ensure accurate cash position.

Requirements: bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, 2+ years in treasury or banking ops, fluent Arabic and good English; Zoho Books experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 2 years of treasury, banking operations or bank reconciliation experience.
• Experience with Letters of Credit (documents, bank submission, discrepancies).
• Experience depositing and tracking cheques, including returned cheques.
• ERP or accounting system experience.
• Fluent Arabic and good English.

Responsibilities

• Upload bank statements to Zoho Books daily and reconcile accounts.
• Follow up on Letters of Credit from receipt to proceeds deposited.
• Submit LC documents to banks and resolve discrepancies before LC expiry.
• Coordinate with Sales, Operations and AR on LC status and cash flow.
• Maintain cheque registers and track cheques until cleared.

The Treasury & Banking Accountant keeps bank accounts accurate every day and makes sureevery Letter of Credit (LC) and cheque is followed until the money reaches our account. You will upload
and reconcile all bank statements in Zoho Books daily, manage the LC and cheque cycle with our banks,and be the go-to person for any banking transaction across the company.

What You will do (Responsibilities) :

Bank Statements & Daily Reconciliation

• Upload all bank statements to Zoho Books every day for every company bank account.
• Reconcile all bank accounts daily and clear unmatched items within 48 hours.
• Investigate unidentified receipts, bank charges, and differences, posting or requesting the correct
  entries.
• Prepare the daily cash position by bank for the Finance team.

Letters of Credit (LCs)

• Follow up on all new LCs from receipt until proceeds are deposited in our account.
• Check LC terms and ensure required documents (invoice, delivery note, certificate of origin, etc.)
  match before submission.
• Submit documents to the banks, follow up on bank review, and resolve any discrepancies before the
  LC expires.
• Coordinate with Sales, Operations, and AR on LC status and expected collection dates.
• Deposit customer cheques at the banks and track them until cleared.
• Handle returned cheques: record the reversal, inform AR and Sales, and follow up.
• Maintain a cheque register with status for every cheque received and deposited.

Tracking & Banking Support

• Keep one up-to-date tracker of all open LCs, cheques, and pending bank transactions, with status
  and expected dates.
• Support all teams and the company with banking requests: transfers, bank letters, guarantees,
  account queries, and bank portal access.
• Act as day-to-day contact with bank relationship managers.
• Support month-end close and audit requests with bank reconciliations and confirmations.

Who You are (Qualifications) :

Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in treasury, banking operations, or bank reconciliation.
• Practical experience handling Letters of Credit (documents, bank submission, discrepancies).
• Experience depositing and tracking cheques, including returned cheques.
• Experience working with an ERP or accounting system.
• Fluent Arabic and good English.

Preferred:

• Experience with Zoho Books.
• Experience with Saudi bank online portals (e.g., SNB, Al Rajhi Bank, Riyad Bank).
• Basic knowledge of UCP 600 rules for LCs.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
