About the Job

We are currently seeking a Security Systems Engineer with in-depth expertise in SAIS/HCIS and RCU RIMA-compliant physical security systems. Based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the successful candidate will support a range of security engineering tasks across major infrastructure projects, including the design, documentation, construction supervision, and commissioning of integrated security and telecommunications systems. The role involves hands‑on technical leadership, client interaction, and multidisciplinary collaboration across various sectors such as Oil & Gas, heritage sites, transportation, and critical infrastructure.

What You’ll Do

As a Security Systems Engineer, you will lead the design, documentation, and implementation of integrated physical and electronic security systems aligned with SAIS/HCIS and RCU RIMA standards. You will be responsible for delivering engineering solutions across the full project lifecycle—from concept through commissioning—while providing technical leadership and supporting collaboration with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

  • Develop Concept, Preliminary, and Detailed Designs along with supporting drawings, documentation, and system specifications.
  • Oversee construction supervision and commissioning of systems such as CCTV, IDAS, PIDS, SACS, ALPR, UVIS, VSS, VMS, PSIM, and related infrastructure.
  • Respond to client technical queries and clarify design intent, integration requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Create scopes of work, support tendering and evaluate technical and financial deliverables from third-party contractors.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and/or MicroStation to produce or review detailed engineering drawings.
  • Coordinate technical meetings with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve design issues.
  • Perform peer reviews of design packages to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to project requirements.
  • Support documentation and administrative needs using cloud-based systems in line with company protocols.
  • Participate in site visits and ensure technical alignment across all phases of project execution.
What’s Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Electronics & Communications; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Strong experience with the design and implementation of integrated security systems and technologies aligned with SAIS/HCIS and RCU RIMA standards.
  • Experience in industrial projects (Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, Historic Sites, Transport, etc.).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office Suite; experience with MicroStation is preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of physical and electronic security technologies, including system integration.
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycles including design, construction, commissioning, and close‑out.
  • Skilled in reviewing technical specifications and ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Fluent in English (spoken, written, and read); Arabic is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed and collaborate across time zones.
What’s Preferred
  • Hands‑on experience with specialized systems such as drone detection, RFID tracking, and ViMS.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical meetings, contribute to design reviews, and represent engineering work to clients and stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting government or heritage security infrastructure projects.
  • Confidence in representing the company with external vendors, contractors, and partners.
Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Responsibilities
  • Comply with all workplace safety policies and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Participate in HSE risk assessments and incident reporting.
  • Ensure safe practices are followed during site visits, construction, and commissioning.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support and documentation management per company standards.
  • Participate in cross-functional team coordination and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate initiative, ownership of tasks, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality and act with professionalism and integrity.
Effort & Working Conditions
  • Must be able to work in both office and construction site environments.
  • Physical activities may include walking, standing, or bending for extended periods and wearing PPE.
  • May involve work in high-security or classified environments.
