Job summary

DS DeepSource in Riyadh region seeks an experienced Electrical/Control engineer to operate and maintain Siemens access control and CCTV systems on site. You will install, configure, commission, and test security components, while troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues.

The role requires interpreting technical drawings, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring compliance with HSE standards. Fluency in English and strong documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in control, automation, security, or integrated site systems.
  • Practical experience with Siemens security, access control, CCTV, or related control systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding capabilities.
  • Good understanding of control panels, controllers, I/O systems, communication networks, and system interfaces.
  • Experience with system commissioning, configuration, testing, and maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, control schematics, and system architecture diagrams.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols and Ethernet/IP-based networks would be an advantage.
  • Experience in integrating security and control systems with centralized monitoring or management platforms is preferred.
  • Siemens-related technical training or certifications would be an advantage.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong technical reporting and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively under site operating conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain Siemens access control and CCTV systems.
  • Install, configure, commission, and test control and security system components.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and system integration issues.
  • Configure and maintain access control systems including controllers, readers, and alarms.
  • Monitor CCTV systems, recording systems, and video management platforms.
  • Diagnose system failures and implement corrective and preventive maintenance.
  • Perform system configuration, parameterization, and programming as required.
  • Support integration between security systems and other site control/management systems.
  • Review and interpret electrical, control, instrumentation, and network drawings.
  • Conduct system testing, commissioning, and performance verification.
  • Maintain records of maintenance, modifications, incidents, and troubleshooting.
  • Prepare technical reports and recommendations for improvements and reliability.
  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, site teams, and other disciplines.
  • Ensure work follows company procedures, technical standards, and HSE requirements.

Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Siemens access control and CCTV systems.
  • Installation, configuration, commissioning, and testing of control and security system components.
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software, communication, networking, and system integration issues.
  • Configuration and maintenance of access control systems, including controllers, readers, door interfaces, credentials, alarms, and associated equipment.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting of CCTV systems, cameras, recording systems, video management platforms, and related network equipment.
  • Diagnosing system failures and implementing corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Performing system configuration, parameterize, and programming as required.
  • Supporting the integration and communication between security systems and other site control/management systems.
  • Reviewing and interpreting electrical, control, instrumentation, network, and system architecture drawings.
  • Conducting system testing, commissioning, functional checks, and performance verification.
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, system modifications, incidents, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Preparing technical reports and providing recommendations for system improvement and reliability.
  • Coordinating with vendors, subcontractors, site teams, and other technical disciplines when required.
  • Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with applicable company procedures, technical standards, and HSE requirements.
