Job summary

Al Ghurair is actively seeking a Technical Manager to lead our automotive division in KSA, focusing on overseeing technical operations, guiding a skilled team, and ensuring service excellence. The role emphasizes supervision of diagnostics, maintenance quality, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate brings 5–8 years in automotive operations, strong leadership, and proficiency in Arabic and English. Saudi localization is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in automotive technical operations, workshop management, diagnostics, or aftersales.
• Saudi localization preferred as per company policy.
• Strong leadership skills with proven team development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical operations and ensure activities align with standards and manufacturer requirements.
• Lead and develop the technical team, monitor performance, assign responsibilities, coach for capability growth.
• Drive service, maintenance excellence with high-quality diagnostics and minimal downtime.
• Support troubleshooting and coordinate with manufacturers and support teams for solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor KPIs: productivity, repair quality, turnaround time, warranty performance, workshop efficiency.
• Coordinate with Parts and other departments to secure parts and tools.
• Prepare technical reports and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Do – Technical Manager

• Technical Operations Management – Oversee technical operations and ensure all activities are completed efficiently, safely, and in line with company standards and manufacturer requirements.
• Team Leadership & Development – Lead and support the technical team, monitor performance, assign responsibilities, and provide coaching to improve technical capabilities.
• Service & Maintenance Excellence – Ensure high-quality maintenance, diagnostics, and repair activities while maintaining customer satisfaction and minimizing vehicle downtime.
• Technical Troubleshooting – Support the team in diagnosing complex technical issues and provide effective solutions in coordination with manufacturers and technical support teams.
• Quality & Compliance – Ensure all technical work follows company policies, safety standards, manufacturer guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Performance Monitoring – Track technical KPIs, productivity, repair quality, turnaround time, warranty performance, and workshop efficiency, providing recommendations for improvement.
• Parts & Resource Coordination – Coordinate with Parts, Service, and other departments to ensure the availability of required parts, tools, equipment, and technical resources.
• Reporting & Continuous Improvement – Prepare technical reports, identify operational gaps, and implement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and overall technical performance.

Who You Are?

• Saudi – Preferred in alignment with the company’s localization strategy.
• Automotive Technical Experience – 5–8 years of experience in automotive technical operations, workshop management, diagnostics, or aftersales.
• Strong Leadership Skills – Proven ability to lead technical teams, manage performance, and develop employees.
• Technical Expertise – Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repair procedures, maintenance, and automotive technical standards.
• Problem-Solving & Analytical Thinking – Able to diagnose complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement practical solutions.
• Customer & Business Focused – Understands the importance of customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and achieving business targets.
• Fluent in Arabic & English – Strong communication skills in both languages are preferred.
