Job Summary
The Survey Manager oversees all phases of survey-based projects, from feasibility scoping through design, implementation, and delivery. The role leads the surveying team on quality control and surveying standards, ensuring positional accuracy and quality during construction activities. It develops strong client relationships, manages client expectations, and ensures surveying project deliverables, schedules, and budget objectives are met based on the organizational objectives.
Job Responsibilities 1
- Establish and implement the project survey plan specific to operations requirements.
- Develop systems and processes for cost-efficient surveying tasks related to construction operations aligned with business objectives.
- Lead and deliver project requirements within scope, schedule, and expectations constraints.
- Manage and oversee survey projects, track and report key project metrics.
- Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and services.
- Manage key clients and projects and monitor client relationship strategies with project managers.
- Mentor and coach staff across multiple project locations to ensure consistency of implementation.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate work of survey parties and related staff, including administering budgets, staffing, work assignments, and other employee-related matters.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of industry survey trends and requirements so the organization meets established standards.
Job Responsibilities 2
- Oversee operations with periodic reviews of record keeping, field procedures, and survey audits to ensure all work is performed efficiently and professionally.
- Ensure project leadership from primary control through construction layout.
- Ensure survey protocols are followed to guarantee data quality and timeliness.
- Prepare resource planning for survey projects and tasks, including forecasting and project‑specific resource plans.
- Provide timely document delivery by monitoring/adjusting schedules, communicating with client and project team members, assigning/managing needed resources, and completing tasks on or ahead of schedule.
- Deliver profitable projects by monitoring and acting quickly on budget deviations and extra service opportunities, maintaining continuous open communication among client, subconsultants, and team members, and using available technology appropriately.
- Facilitate quality control review of firm design plans for completeness for construction staking; make regular site visits to monitor project and client needs.
- Manage and administer department activities across the organization.
- Communicate action steps following all internal and client meetings.
- Support implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.

Job Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of Qatar Surveying Manual (QSM) to proceed and maintain surveying standards.
- Knowledge of Information Technology and various surveying software.
- Knowledge of mathematics, survey computer programs, and survey computations applicable to the work.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of land surveying.
- Knowledge of advanced surveying with respect to modern era technology/instruments.
- Knowledge of quantity calculation, data record and back‑up management, structural and architectural drawings understanding.
- ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, is a requirement to be successful.
Job Experience
Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years relevant working experience, 2 years in GCC is a plus.

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying
