English Path is seeking an experienced Subject Tutor to prepare international students for entry into undergraduate programmes through foundation and pathway programmes. Job description

English Path is a rapidly growing international language school delivering immersive English, French, and German learning experiences across the UK, Europe, North America, and the Middle East.

About the Role:

EP is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Subject Tutor to play a key role in preparing international students for entry into undergraduate programmes through foundation and pathway programmes.

The tutor will deliver high-quality instruction in their specialist subject area as part of English Path’s academic pathway programmes. The role is central to supporting student progression to English-medium universities and contributes directly to the success of our growing academic offering.

Please Note: This role is based fully On-site and a Part Time position of 10 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, interactive teaching aligned with programme outcomes and academic standards.
  • Develop students’ subject knowledge, critical thinking, problem-solving and independent learning skills.
  • Create an inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learning needs and encourages participation.
  • Set, assess and provide constructive feedback on assignments in line with programme criteria.
  • Support students in adapting to higher education and developing effective academic skills.
  • Maintain accurate academic records and contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in training, team meetings, teaching workshops and academic planning.
  • A relevant academic qualification at post-graduate level in the subject area. (Masters)
  • A recognised teaching qualification in a relevant subject (desirable).
  • Relevant teaching experience, normally a minimum of two years.
  • Experience delivering teaching within a Western-style curriculum using recognised academic conventions and methodologies.
  • Understanding of the expectations of higher education and the needs of international students.
  • Experience of working within further or higher education in an international context.
  • Experience of academic assessment, marking and feedback in line with programme criteria.
  • Ability to contribute to integrated teaching across the curriculum.
  • Demonstrable cross-cultural awareness and the ability to support students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
  • Fluent and accurate command of spoken and written English.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Competence in the effective use of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT).
  • Confident use of digital teaching tools and virtual learning environments (e.g. Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas).
  • Proven planning and organisational skills and the ability to take initiative within curriculum and policy objectives.
  • Strong attention to detail, fairness, and academic integrity.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
