Job summary

SOFITEL Riyadh is seeking an Assistant Director of Sales Government & Royal Affairs to drive the hotel''s strategic government, royal, and diplomatic accounts across Saudi Arabia. You will collaborate with the Director of Sales and Commercial team to manage key accounts, negotiate contracts, and convert opportunities into sustained revenue.

The role requires building high-level relationships with ministries, royal offices, embassies, and government-related organizations, while ensuring VIP

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive sales experience within luxury hospitality.
• Proven experience managing Government, Royal Affairs, Diplomatic, or strategic institutional accounts in Saudi Arabia.
• Established network with Saudi government entities, ministries, royal offices, embassies and strategic organizations.
• Strong understanding of Saudi hospitality, government, corporate and MICE landscape.
• Proven track record of generating and converting high-value business and meeting sales targets.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with senior-level stakeholders.
• Strong commercial acumen to translate relationships into revenue.
• Experience with CRM systems, account management, sales reporting and forecasting.
• Understanding luxury hospitality standards and VIP guest expectations.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Sales in developing and executing the government & royal affairs sales strategy.
• Own day-to-day development and management of government, royal, diplomatic, and strategic accounts.
• Identify key decision-makers and establish long-term relationships at senior levels.
• Lead negotiations for government rates, corporate agreements and long-stay arrangements.
• Maintain a strong pipeline and coordinate with operations to deliver VIP stays and events.
