Lean is seeking a Strategic Finance Intern to join the FP&A team as we scale across multiple markets and product lines. You will own defined pieces of forecasting, budgeting, and analysis end to end, with review from a senior team member.

This role suits someone early in their finance career who builds models proactively, questions movements, and wants to understand how a multi-product fintech generates revenue.

Qualifications

• Final-year student or graduate within the last 12 months in a quantitative field such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or Mathematics.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets; you can build a driver-based model from a blank sheet.
• Evidence of an analytical project done independently (model, pitch, case competition, or research).
• Clear writing: explain numbers and movements in plain language.
• You proactively close the loop without being chased; genuine curiosity about fintech.

Responsabilités

• Maintain monthly rolling forecast inputs: pull actuals, verify against assumptions, flag divergences.
• Create a scenario analysis from first principles (e.g., new market or product line) and present it.
• Convert forecast outputs into a one-page actionable summary for non-finance leaders.
• Collect and consolidate budget inputs from business units during annual cycle.
• Prepare monthly variance analysis vs. budget with top 3 drivers explained.
• Map drivers for a cost category and propose quantified saving.
• Test AI-enabled tools to automate parts of FP&A workflow and document findings.
• Own the deals tracker: keep it accurate, reconcile with Sales, and flag at-risk deals.
• Prepare assigned sections of the monthly management report; run unit economics or profitability analyses.
• Research a market Lean is evaluating and present a recommendation; build inputs for pricing models.
