Jumeirah Jabal Omar is seeking a Steward to join the Stewarding team in Makkah. The role focuses on maintaining high hygiene standards, aiding kitchen operations, and handling stewarding equipment to support luxury hospitality services.

The ideal candidate should hold a higher secondary certificate, have basic food hygiene knowledge, and be proficient in English (or local language). Attractive salary in SAR with comprehensive benefits is offered.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to health, safety and environment procedures to provide world-class hospitality services.
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and grooming.
• Perform general cleaning duties according to established standards and schedules.
• Use stewarding equipment safely and efficiently (dishwashing, glass washing, pot washing, floor cleaning, burnishing).
• Clean, wash pots, pans and other kitchen utensils according to hygiene standards.
• Count, sort and prepare operating equipment and kitchen utensils for banquet functions with minimal breakage.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

• Adhere to all relevant Health, Safety and Environment procedures, instructions and controls so that Jumeirah Group provides world class and luxurious hospitality services to its guests.
• Ensure that high standards of personal hygiene and grooming are strictly observed and followed.
• Perform general cleaning duties as assigned by direct supervisor in accordance with established standards of performance and schedules.
• Ensure the safe, correct and economic use of stewarding equipment including (dishwashing machine, glass washing machine, pot washing machine, floor cleaning and maintenance machines, silver burnishing machine).
• Clean, wash pots, pans and other kitchen utensils in accordance with the established hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Count, sort and prepare operating equipment and other kitchen utensils for banquet functions and ensure that all kitchen equipment/utensils are maintained with high standards with minimum breakage.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Higher Secondary School certificate
• Basic Food Hygiene and HACCP Principles Certificate.
• Proficient in English or preferred local language (written and verbal).
