Durucooperation is seeking a Mechanical Inspector (QM) in Al Khobar to perform inspections of mechanical equipment, piping, welding, and pressure-containing components in line with international codes and Saudi Aramco standards.
The role emphasizes reviewing documentation, verifying materials, conducting welding inspections, and maintaining QC records, NCRs, and corrective actions with project teams and quality managers.
The Mechanical Inspector (QM) is responsible for conducting inspections of mechanical equipment, piping, welding, and pressure-containing components to ensure full compliance with international codes, project specifications, and Saudi Aramco standards. The role involves performing quality checks, reviewing documentation, verifying materials, and ensuring that all mechanical works meet regulatory, safety, and industry requirements.
Perform inspection of mechanical commodities such as pipes, fittings, valves, structural steel, fasteners, boilers, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers.
Review and verify compliance with applicable codes including ASME Sections I, V, VIII, IX; ASME B31.3/4/8; API 620/650; AWS D1.1; and NACE requirements.
Conduct welding inspections including WPS, PQR, welder qualifications, visual inspection (VT), and coordination of NDT (MT, PT, UT, RTFI).
Ensure adherence to Saudi Aramco Specifications & Standards and relevant industry practices.
Inspect fabrication, installation, testing, and completion of mechanical systems.
Verify accuracy of material certificates, PMI results, and documentation for mechanical components.
Maintain detailed inspection reports, QC records, NCRs, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and quality managers to resolve technical and quality-related issues.
Support audits, surveillance activities, and provide technical input on quality matters.
B.E/B.Tech degree in a relevant engineering discipline with 6+ years of inspection experience or Diploma (3 years) with 8+ years of relevant inspection experience.
Strong knowledge of International Codes & Standards and Saudi Aramco Specifications & Standards.
Saudi Aramco-approved inspector or must have passed Saudi Aramco CBT Exam & Interview.
Must hold internationally recognized inspection certifications such as:
API SIFE, API 653, API 570, API 510
ASME certifications for Pressure Vessels, Boilers, Heat Exchangers
ASNT Level II in MT, PT, UT, VT, RTFI
AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2 Certified Welding Inspector
Proven working knowledge of mechanical inspection requirements, testing equipment, and PMI instruments.
Required QMs - QM-03, 05, 07, 30, 31, 34, 35, 37,68
