Qualifications

  • 15+ years of overall relevant experience in large infrastructure projects.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in stakeholder management for major projects.
  • Minimum 5 years regional experience.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
  • Knowledge of civil infrastructure project design and construction management.
  • Experience with government authorities and utility service providers.
  • Experience with KSA authorities desirable.

Job description

Title: Stakeholder Manager

LOCATION Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

The Role

Reports to the Project Director & Technical Director within the Programme Team. Responsible for DGDA Programme interface management with key stakeholders.

Project Description

The project is a major infrastructure programme for a mixed-use development aiming to be a global landmark recognized for its unique vision and position as an authentic destination in Riyadh. The community will be a distinct, self-sustaining hub for Riyadh offering several iconic assets. KBR will provide Project Management Consultancy services in project planning, controls, design and engineering management, and implementation of the development and early works packages.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders to enable effective communication between their respective agency and the DGDA Programme.
  • Support the Technical Team and Delivery Managers in successfully driving project issues through the respective agencies, with the aim to ensure project schedules are not impacted by stakeholder approvals and permits.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of each stakeholder agency’s processes and challenges to enable the DGDA Phase 2 PMC team to tailor requirements accordingly.
  • Feedback stakeholder issues to the PMC team to ensure appropriate timescales are included within project schedules for all approvals and permits.
  • Attend coordination meetings with stakeholders and communicate issues/concerns/actions to the appropriate Manager.
  • Support the Technical Team and Delivery Managers to resolve issues between stakeholders and Design Consultants and Contractors.
  • Support the Interface and Engineering Teams at meetings and/or discussions with stakeholders.
  • Maintain records of Stakeholder concerns, actions, owners, and due date.
  • Prepare recommendations to improve communication and approval procedures with stakeholders.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • BSc construction management, engineering, architecture, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum overall relevant experience 15 years.
  • Minimum relevant experience 10 years in the role projects.
  • Minimum Regional Experience 5years
  • Fluency in Arabic and English languages both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of design and construction management on civil infrastructure projects including utilities interface and coordination management.
  • Particular experience of dealing with Government Authorities and Utility Service Providers.
  • Experience of KSA Authorities is desirable.
  • Experience and skills in developing and managing Stakeholder relationships.
