Job summary

alfanar Electric seeks a Senior Business Planning Engineer to lead the annual business planning process for the assigned unit. You will coordinate across functions, develop budgets and dashboards, and ensure action follow-ups to drive informed decisions.

You will manage committees, track milestones, and deliver clear performance insights to senior leadership, while maintaining documentation and compliant reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 4–6 years of work experience.
• Strong ability to develop, monitor and report annual business plans.
• Experience with dashboards and reporting for performance tracking.

Job Purpose

Responsible for the establishment, development, alignment, and execution of annual business plans for respective unit. Involves managing committees, facilitating meetings, and tracking performance through dashboards and reporting. Ensures proper documentation, follow-up on actions, and provides insights for informed decision-making to drive successful business outcomes.

Key Accountability Areas

Business Plans Management:

• Participate in the coordination of annual business planning activities to ensure alignment with technical and operational objectives.
• Translate business goals into detailed, actionable initiatives with defined priorities, responsibilities, and timelines across various functions.
• Support the review of sales, resource, and financial budgets to ensure consistency with overall business plans through data analysis and validation.
• Contribute to business plan sessions by preparing relevant materials and ensuring alignment across technical and non-technical areas.

Business Plans Performance:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to set and monitor challenging performance indicators, providing analysis to track progress against set targets.
• Monitor and report on annual plans timelines, milestones, and accuracy, providing insights and flagging any deviations to ensure successful plans outcomes.
• Support business plans by identifying potential issues, providing solutions and mitigating risks to guarantee plans success.

Committees Management:

• Activate committees’ structures and charters, ensuring proper governance and management of cross-functional teams.
• Manage committee meetings, including the preparation of agendas, scheduling, and recording of meeting minutes.
• Track action items from meetings, ensuring the timely execution of tasks and reporting on any pending or overdue actions.

Reporting and Monitoring:

• Develop and maintain dashboards that visualize the progress of business plans, initiatives, and KPIs, ensuring clear and accessible reporting for stakeholders.
• Analyze key performance metrics and trends, providing actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership to drive data-driven decision-making.
• Provide technical tools, dashboards, and reports to committees to monitor the progress and performance of both strategic and operational activities.
• Ensure proper management, secure archiving, and compliance of all performance reports, meeting minutes, and related documentation to meet audit and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure proper archiving and confidentiality of all business planning documentation (digital and physical) while reviewing and enhancing business planning systems and tools.
