Job summary

alfanar Electric in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Sr. Engineer Projects Demand Planning to strengthen our project-driven supply chain. You will develop accurate demand forecasts, coordinate material requirements with engineering, procurement and logistics, and ensure alignment between engineering inputs and planning outputs.

You will monitor demand trends, improve forecast accuracy, manage data and reports, and support process optimization to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in business administration or related field.

• Demand Forecasting and Analysis: Prepare detailed demand forecasts based on project schedules, engineering inputs, and historical data.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, and procurement to validate material requirements.
• Material Planning and Follow-up: Convert demand forecasts into material planning actions and follow up with procurement and warehouse teams.
• Data Management and Reporting: Maintain up-to-date records of forecasts, material plans, and usage; generate reports.

Job Purpose

Support project execution by developing accurate demand forecasts, coordinating material requirements, and ensuring alignment between engineering inputs and supply chain planning. Monitor demand trends and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resource availability for ongoing and upcoming projects.

Functional Responsibilities

Demand Forecasting and Analysis:

• Prepare detailed demand forecasts based on project schedules, engineering inputs, and historical consumption data.
• Analyze forecast accuracy and adjust plans to reflect changes in project scope or timelines.

Project Coordination:

• Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, and procurement to validate material and resource requirements.
• Align demand planning activities with project milestones to avoid delays or shortages.

Material Planning and Follow-up:

• Convert demand forecasts into material planning actions and follow up with procurement and warehouse teams.
• Track material availability and elevate potential delays to ensure continuous project progress.

Data Management and Reporting:

• Maintain updated records of demand forecasts, material plans, and actual usage for each project.
• Generate regular reports on forecast accuracy, material readiness, and planning performance.

Process Optimization:

• Identify gaps in the demand planning process and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Support the implementation of planning tools and systems related to project-based forecasting.

Cross-Functional Communication:

• Coordinate with engineering, production, and logistics teams to validate material readiness and planning assumptions.
• Communicate forecast updates, deviations, and risks to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
