Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking an experienced Construction Manager/Site Manager – Electrical for its 380kV BSP projects in Saudi Arabia. The role requires leading electrical construction activities, coordinating with SEC and subcontractors, and ensuring quality, safety and timely completion on site.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 12–15 years of EHV/HV experience, including SEC-related work, and possess strong leadership and problem-solving skills for on-site

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical construction activities for 380kV substation/BSP projects.

• Coordinate with SEC, consultants, subcontractors and project teams for smooth execution.
• Ensure works comply with SEC standards, drawings, specs, and procedures.
• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, cable works, equipment erection and related activities.
• Monitor schedule, identify delays and implement corrective actions.
• Review drawings, ITPs, method statements, and technical docs before execution.
• Manage subcontractors ensuring productivity, quality, safety, and timely completion.
• Coordinate with Civil, Protection & Control, Planning, QA/QC, HSE and Procurement teams.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure closure of issues; support pre-commissioning and SEC inspection.

Construction Manager/Site Manager – Electrical

B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering with 12–15 years of experience, including proven 380kV BSP project experience. Must have valid SEC approval (Client Approval). Responsible for overall electrical construction execution, site coordination, subcontractor management, quality, safety, progress monitoring, and timely project completion in line with SEC standards and project requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical construction activities for 380kV substation/BSP projects.
• Plan and monitor site execution, manpower, materials, equipment, and daily progress.
• Coordinate with SEC, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams for smooth execution.
• Ensure all works comply with SEC standards, approved drawings, specifications, and project procedures.
• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, cable works, equipment erection, and related electrical activities.
• Monitor project schedule, identify delays, and implement corrective actions to achieve project milestones.
• Review drawings, method statements, ITPs, and technical documents before execution.
• Manage subcontractors and ensure productivity, quality, safety, and timely completion.
• Coordinate with Civil, Protection & Control, Planning, QA/QC, HSE, and Procurement teams.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure proper closure of technical and construction issues.
• Support testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and SEC inspection/approval activities.
• Prepare progress reports and provide regular updates to Project Manager and management.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and zero-incident project execution.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 12–15 years of experience in EHV/HV substation construction projects, including 380kV substations.
• Minimum 5 years in a Site Manager or Construction Manager role.
• Hands-on experience with SEC projects and SEC construction standards.
• Strong knowledge of GIS installation, power transformers, switchgear, protection systems, cable works, and commissioning activities.
• Excellent leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

SEC-Specific Requirements Preferred

• Experience working on SEC-approved 380kV Substation Projects.
• Familiarity with SEC General Specifications (SGS), SEC Safety Regulations, and SEC project execution procedures.
• Ability to coordinate directly with SEC Project Management and Construction Supervision teams.
