Job summary

UNISIS Engineering in Saudi Arabia is seeking a QC Inspector – Welding to lead welding quality inspections per Saudi Aramco standards and project specs. You will review WPS, PQR, and welder qualifications, and coordinate NDT activities, ensuring all records meet contract requirements.

The role requires extensive welding inspection experience, Saudi Aramco approval with SAP Number and CBT qualification, and AWS/CSWIP certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of welding inspection experience.
• Saudi Aramco approval with SAP Number and CBT qualification.
• AWS or CSWIP Welding Inspector certification is mandatory.
• NDT Level II certifications in RT, UT, MT, and PT are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of welding activities at different stages of fabrication, construction, and installation.
• Verify welding work complies with approved drawings, project specifications, welding codes, and Saudi Aramco standards.
• Review and verify WPS, PQR, and welder qualification records before welding activities.
• Ensure welders are qualified for applicable processes, materials, positions, and joint configurations.
• Inspect welding consumables, storage, handling, and procedure compliance.
• Coordinate with NDT personnel for RT, UT, MT, and PT inspections.
• Review NDT reports and ensure acceptance criteria are met.
• Identify defects and coordinate corrective/preventive actions with teams.
• Maintain accurate inspection reports and quality records for traceability.
• Coordinate with construction, welding QA/QC and client representatives to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco CBT requirements and project procedures.
• Support quality audits and closure of quality observations.
