Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Group is seeking an experienced Senior Urban Designer to lead master planning and urban design efforts in Riyadh. You will guide multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, sustainable urban environments in line with regulations and client goals.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive GCC experience, and proficiency with major design tools. English fluency is essential; Arabic is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Design, Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or related field.
• Master's degree in Urban Design, Urban Planning, or Urbanism preferred.
• Minimum 10–15 years of professional experience in urban design and master planning.
• Experience delivering large-scale mixed-use, residential, commercial, hospitality, and public realm developments.
• Experience with major GCC developments, preferably Saudi Arabia.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Rhino, Revit, GIS, Lumion, Enscape or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead master planning and urban design proposals from concept to implementation.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across architecture, landscape, and infrastructure.
• Develop public realm and placemaking strategies to enhance livability and user experience.
• Review technical documents, drawings, and visualizations for quality and compliance.

### **Job Description**## OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Urban Designer to lead and support the planning, design, and implementation of major urban development projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing master plans, urban design frameworks, public realm strategies, and placemaking initiatives while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
